Carbon Engineering Announces Expanded Leadership Team

As Carbon Engineering Ltd. (CE) continues driving towards commercialization of our technologies, we are pleased to announce a new executive hire and expansion of our leadership team. Kerri L. Fox joined the CE team on December 16, 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, after previously consulting with the company as Project Finance Advisor since July, 2018.  Susan Koch, who has served as CFO since 2015, will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, Accounting.

“This expansion of our executive team marks an exciting time for the company,” said CE’s Chief Executive Officer, Steve Oldham. “As we move to aggressively execute our go-to-market strategy, including the development of our first commercial-scale facility in the US, strengthening our leadership team enables us to expand our reach while maintaining the operational excellence necessary to take our business to the next level. We are delighted to welcome Kerri Fox to our team and to have Susan Koch take on the role of COO & VP Accounting. Both Kerri and Susan bring unique experiences and extensive expertise, and their leadership will place CE in a strong position to achieve long-term growth, sustainability, and success.”

Ms. Fox has more than 20 years of project finance and corporate growth experience, including roles as a banker, financial advisor, board member and attorney, and will bring her highly relevant strategic, financing, commercial and legal skillset to the CE team.  She previously built and ran project finance businesses for Fortis Bank and BBVA, which raised and/or provided billions of dollars of capital for projects across a broad array of industry sectors. She also served as a contract CFO for Steelhead LNG, and most recently was Market Manager and Managing Director for Silicon Valley Bank’s clean-tech focused project finance business.

Ms. Fox has also served on the boards of Alterra Power Corp. and TerraForm Power, working with each through periods of important growth and transformation. She began her career as an attorney at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy, and holds an A.B. from Brown University in International Relations and Russian Studies, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to apply my background and expertise to the continued growth of Carbon Engineering’s business and the global deployment of its critically important carbon removal technology,” said Ms. Fox. “It is an exciting time to be joining the company and I believe this is a unique opportunity for me to make a significant impact on some of the most important energy and climate issues today.”

Susan Koch is a finance veteran in pre-commercial alternate energy/clean technology companies with more than 35 years’ experience as a CPA. Prior to joining Carbon Engineering, she held positions of CFO at General Fusion and Vaperma, and VP Finance and CFO at Cellex Power Products.

“I am delighted Kerri is joining the team as we continue to build on the deep bench of internal expertise CE has cultivated over the last decade,” said Ms. Koch. “I look forward to continuing to support and shape CE in my new role, and I’m excited about the future of the company as we rapidly accelerate towards commercial deployment of our climate change solutions.”
